following the end of the voting period.

The full (draft) group removal procedure is documented here:

SUMMARY OF DISCUSSION:

There were no objections to the removal of comp.sources.hp48

RATIONALE: Remove comp.sources.hp48

The last approved message was in November 1993.

There are other more suitable means of distributing program sources,
so comp.sources.hp48 is not a suitable candidate for conversion to an
unmoderated newsgroup.

HISTORY:

The newsgroup comp.sources.hp48 was created in July 1991, with the first
approved message in July 1991.

CHARTER:

From the CFV:

This moderated newsgroup will contain all program postings and anything
that needs to be archived. All programs can and should be posted here.
It will not matter if they are rpl source, assembly source, uuencoded
binaries, asc encoded binaries, or any other format that might come up
in the foreseeable future. It would be good to post large documents
like the internals list here for archiving and to keep the bytes down
in the discussion group. This is not a requirement, only a suggestion.

Each posting will contain rkive(1) headers so that rkive(1) can be
used to automatically archive each posting. Hopefully the sites that
archive comp.sources.* will also archive the HP48 source. There will
be at least one archive site, seq.uncwil.edu.

Each posting will also contain a version number so that it will be much
easier to keep track of newer versions and to purge old versions.

Since most HP28 programs run on the HP48, they are welcome. The
postings will be identified by HP28 in the subject line of each
  message.

DISTRIBUTION:

This RFD has been posted to the following newsgroups:

   news.announce.newgroups
   news.groups
   comp.sources.hp48
   comp.sys.hp48
