I've been active on Usenet since about 1987, spending a lot of time in news.newusers.questions, news.groups, and several others.

I've also actively assisted in moderation of a number of moderated groups, including news.announce.newgroups, news.newusers.question, news.announce.newusers, news.groups.proposals, and others.

-I'm a retired dispatcher for the Alaska State Troopers, currently working seasonally at the Snowshoe Fine Arts & Gifts store and occasionally teaching math classes (when there are enough students) for the local University of Alaska campus.
