    • Still waiting for Greg Pfeil to confirm that he's now set up to send approved posts to this group.

    • MM reviewed the Board's past correspondence with the moderator and contacted him to discuss some options and to draw his attention to the NNTP gateway functionality of Mailman 3. No response yet.

    • No response yet from the volunteer moderator.

    • RL and TM sent MM comments on his draft MVI. Agreed that any one of us could make the requested revisions as time permits.

    • RL sent updated version of FAQs. RL to set up a script to post them periodically and to post an announcement that we have taken over moderation of the groups.

    • RL has posted an MVI and is corresponding with the volunteers
• Infrastructure
  • RL to send MM ssh keys and set up cron jobs to do backups from Contabo and Panix
  • MM reports that IPv6 seems to be working
  • MM suggested enabling automatic security updates on the Contabo server
  • MM suggested we use a remote monitoring tool that notifies us if the Contabo services go down. MM will see about setting this up on his infrastructure.
  • E-mail from GoDaddy asking us to review our account information. TM to check on this.
  • MM noticed strange HTTP requests from AWS and suggested installing fail2ban. RL investigated and believes the request are a harmless (to us) bug in Amazon's web crawler. Agreed that MM could install fail2ban at his leisure.
• Software/funding
  • TM: No update yet on GPG signing best practices on Savannah
  • Thunderbird 128 contact deferred given Julien's comments on INN.
  • TM still to respond to Julien.
  • OTF IFF/NGI0/Sovereign Tech Fund: no further updates

  • JE wrote about an article he got published on researching Usenet:

  • TUGboat article: TM to revise in the next few days.
