    • Still awaiting confirmation from Greg Pfeil that approvals are working again. We can then announce this in news.groups.proposals .

    • Last contact from Dan Mahoney on 2024-10-26. Agreed to defer consideration a while longer.

    • TM to announce result of vote: 3 in favour of removing the groups; 1 not voting.
    • The meeting noted additional discussion on the RfD objecting to the idea of using this group as a test case for demoderation and so agreed not to carry out the experiment on this group.

    • No response yet to RL's message to three volunteers asking for an update. Agreed to wait one further week and then if necessary send another message.
  • news.groups.proposals
    • The group's signing key uses the e-mail address ngp-approval-key@ngp.big-8.org. Agreed to leave this as-is for now, as this is just an identifier. We can later consider adding a new identity with a new address, and/or upgrading to a GPGv2 key.
    • E-mail from Jonathan Kamens noting that when the moderation system was moved from his infrastructure to ours, the cross-posting limit was inadvertently set too low. RL has now raised this limit to 3. TM drew the Board's attention to the cross-posting policy set out in the charter for news.groups.proposals: "Crossposting to unmoderated newsgroups relevant to a particular proposal may be permitted, at the discretion of the moderators. With some exceptions (such as RFD announcements and FAQs), crossposting to other moderated groups is not permitted."

    • RL to change the domain in the From address for the status reports from mail.big-8.org to big-8.org to avoid future delivery errors.
