As noted on the above page, today is the last day of the membership term
for both Brian Edmonds and James Farrar.  Both have chosen to not ask for
re-appointment to the Board.

I would like to thank both James and Brian for all of the time, energy,
and resources that they have put into the Big-8 Management Board, and into
Usenet as a whole.  I understand that they will continue to stay involved
with Usenet, and I hope to work with them both again.  

(As a reminder, applications for new appointments are due on Thursday at
15:00 CDT).
