I joined the Big-8 Management Board on 25 April 2020.

I'm a research scientist at the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Vienna and an associate faculty member at the Ontological Semantic Technology Laboratory of Texas A&M University-Commerce.

I've been a denizen of Usenet since the early 1990s, when I accessed it through FidoNet gateways on local dial-up BBSes.
