The Last Call for Comments (LCC) on 22 Sep 2006 initiated a five-day
period for final comments.  Following the comment period, the Big-8
Management board has decided by consensus to remove the newsgroup
misc.news.east-europe.rferl.

This group will be removed on 01 Oct 2006.

RATIONALE: remove misc.news.east-europe.rferl

The last approved message was in December 1994.

The Newsline is still available via the WWW or by e-mail at
http://www.rferl.org/newsline/ so the newsgroup is an unused redundancy.


HISTORY: 

The newsgroup misc.news.east-europe.rferl was created in November 1992 to
distribute the RFE/RL Daily Report which was also distributed via a listserv at
that time, and also being reposted into a number of other newsgroups.
