RESULT
new moderator for news.announce.important
The Last Call for Comments (LCC) on 2010-08-04 initiated a five-day
period for final comments. Following this comment period, the Big-8
Management Board has decided by vote to take over moderation of the
group news.announce.important.
Vote results:
1 vote for "appoint Kathy Morgan as new moderator"
6 votes for "add the group to the list of groups managed by the B8MB"
1 vote for "remove group"
RATIONALE:
According to Google's archive the last regular post was approved on
2002-02-02. A probe message resulted in a bounce.

Charles Lindsey and Steve Bonine suggested that the B8MB should manage
news.announce.important. According to Paul W. Schleck it is no problem
to add the group to the existing STUMP installation.
Theo Markettos, David E. Ross and Steve Bonine expressed doubts about
the usefulness of a group that received 54 submissions in 15 years.
