- TM received a response from Roy Engehausen, who says he is running a modified STUMP and is willing to contribute to upstream development. TM has responded requesting further details. It was agreed to wait to hear about any concrete plans before accepting the membership request.
- TM and RL reported that many moderated posts to comp.ai
are not showing up because they contain Injection-Info headers which our STUMP is failing to strip per RFC 5537. RL has manually stripped the offending headers and resubmitted the affected posts, has raised a bug report about this on Savannah, and will be working on implementing a fix.
- Administration
- It was agreed that the draft RFD for comp.software.shareware.* circulated by TM earlier in the week was good to go. TM to post this on Monday.
- Misc
- JE reported that he has been continuing his efforts to produce Usenet archives; he is now in the process of uploading the archives to The Internet Archive
