  • Administration
    • comp.sys.wearables comp.sys.wearables on Google Groups
      • RL wrote to Greg Pfeil asking for confirmation that he's now set up to send approved posts to this group.
    • comp.protocols.dns.bind comp.protocols.dns.bind on Google Groups
      • Marco Moock wrote asking about the status of the gateway. RL responded with an update, suggesting he get in touch with the moderator directly for further information, and that we would contact him ourselves in the event that Marco received no reply.
    • rec.radio.broadcasting rec.radio.broadcasting on Google Groups, comp.os.plan9 comp.os.plan9 on Google Groups
      • RL still to ping the respective correpondents.
    • Moderation status of comp.unix.bsd.openbsd.announce comp.unix.bsd.openbsd.announce on Google Groups
      • Florian Rehnisch has confirmed that he can carry on as moderator and that he will post an announcement about same to the group. He also asked whether we could help configure the group so that submissions are sent to the new moderation address. RL forwarded this request to the ISC who have since updated their relay list.
    • misc.test.moderated misc.test.moderated on Google Groups
      • RL investigated the current operation of this group and discovered that its moderation software (hosted on kamens.us) rejects all posts without an Approved header and sends a confirmation message by e-mail.
  • Infrastructure
    • Mail server
      • RL still to look into some NGP submission notifications still going to our Junk folder.
      • RL still to work on getting the webmail and admin front-ends working again.
  • Software
    • PyModerator: No further updates.
    • TM reviewed the information provided by his research office concerning employing student programmers with OTF IFF funding and has sent RL a summary of same. The scope of the work would very likely need to be more than just a rewrite of STUMP; TM has written to Russ to see if he has any ideas.
    • A (Web)STUMP developer meeting was held virtually on 16 May and attended by Varun, Greg, Edward, RL, and TM. It was agreed, as a first step, to work towards a cleanup/bugfix release ASAP. Varun, assisted by TM, would try installing, configuring, and using (Web)STUMP in order to check that the documentation is reasonably correct and complete and that there are no major bugs. Greg and Edward would examine the current Git head and check for any issues that need fixing for their particular use cases (e.g., packaging with Nix). Once a new release is made, it could continue to be improved in small ways, and meanwhile plans could be made to rewrite (Web)STUMP with modern tools. It was agreed that future communication would take place on the STUMP developers mailing list.
  • Publicity
    • Katie Szilagyi has revised one of the paper abstracts for DigiCAM25. Avery Dame-Griff has indicated that he will shortly be sending us his own draft paper abstract. TM will continue to coordinate a panel submission.
  • Misc
    • Neither RL nor TM will be available on 31 May, so it was agreed to cancel this meeting.
