This investigation will attempt to verify the reasons for non-function, and may result in the removal of the group or the selection and instal- lation of a new moderator. In practice, the Big-8 Management Board considers the third alternative--changing the status of the group from moderated to unmoderated--as likely to cause more harm than good. NEWSGROUPS LINE: comp.lang.visual General discussion of visual programming languages. (Moderated) DISTRIBUTION: news.announce.newgroups news.groups.proposals comp.lang.visual PROPONENT: Alexander Bartolich <alexander.bartolich@gmx.at> CHARTER OF COMP.LANG.VISUAL A forum for general discussion of visual programming languages. A working definition of visual programming languages is posted in the regular comp.lang.visual FAQ. Non-visual aspects of the Visual Basic and Visual C++ environments, products of Microsoft, Inc., are not legal discussion topics for comp.lang.visual. This is a moderation of the existing group comp.lang.visual. RATIONALE: Probe posts to this group resulted in bounces. <comp-lang-visual@moderators.isc.org>: host moderators.individual.net[130.133.4.7] said: 550 all relevant MX records point to non-existent hosts (in reply to RCPT TO command) HISTORY OF THE GROUP: comp.lang.visual is a moderated newsgroup which passed its vote for creation by 359:24 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on 14 Dec 1994.
