RATIONALE: remove comp.research.japan The last approved article was in April 2000. The newsgrooup was run by the JapanCS project in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Arizona. The JapanCS Project effectively ended in May 2000. In response to an e-mail query, the last moderator wrote, "No reason to keep the newsgroup as far as I can see. It served its purpose well in its day, but as you note, most of the material we used to post is online these days." HISTORY: The newsgroup comp.research.japan was created in December 1990, and was active until April 2000, averaging roughly one article per day.
