- MM passed on a report from news.groups (vf462a$cbs8$11@dont-email.me ) that rec.arts.comics.reviews doesn't have a working moderation address. RL investigated the issue and found that the moderator, Tim Skirvin, had announced his retirement, apparently after trying but failing to find a replacement moderator. RL found that rec.arts.comics.info is in the same situation. Agreed that MM would draft at RFD to remove the group, following the examples Nan:2023-12-01-rfd-rec.radio.broadcasting, and circulate it to the Board for comment and revision.

- Still waiting for Greg Pfeil to confirm that he's now set up to send approved posts to this group. TM to ping Greg for an update.

- No response yet from moderator to MM's correspondence. MM to ping the moderator for an update, and in case of no/negative response to investigate how we could host the mailing list gateway ourselves.
- rec.radio.broadcasting
- No response yet from the volunteer moderator, who was last heard from in August. RL to write once more, asking the volunteer to set a deadline after which we can proceed with group removal.

- All were happy with the current draft of the MVI, so TM will post it.

- The MVI has continued to attract discussion as recently as 2024-10-03. The volunteer, Terje Mathisen, last wrote to us on 2024-10-18 indicating that more time is needed. Agreed to defer consideration.
- misc.legal.moderated
- The Board received news from the moderator, Roy, via news.admin.moderation and news.groups.proposals , and various third-party e-mails, that moderated posts are not appearing on misc.legal.moderated . Jonathan Kamens identified the issue as a transient DNS issue and indicated that he is considering how to monitor the error condition so that he gets notified about it sooner in the event of a recurrence. No further action required from the Board as Jonathan has already responded on the group.
