- TM wrote to Greg Pfeil, who responded on 2024-10-28 that he has been making progress but doesn't have a definite timeline yet. Greg also asked about further moderation options. RL to respond to him.

- MM wrote to Dan Mahoney, who responded on 2024-10-26 that they are still investigating options for restoring the mailing list gateway. Agreed to defer consideration pending an update from Dan.

- RL wrote to Jay Henning, who responded on 2024-10-31 that he is still interested in volunteering and will look into moderation software this weekend. Agreed to defer consideration pending an update from Jay.

- TM posted the MVI, which has been attracting a lot of comments, and at least two volunteers. Agreed to let the MVI run a bit longer before contacting the volunteers.

- The MVI has continued to attract discussion as recently as 2024-11-01. The volunteer, Terje Mathisen, last wrote to us on 2024-10-18 indicating that more time is needed. Agreed to defer consideration.

- Status of cron jobs for offsite backups: No further progress by RL.
- Status of remote monitoring: No further progress by MM. RL set up a monitor on UptimeRobot to ping the Board's website.

- TM: No update yet on GPG signing best practices on Savannah
- Thunderbird 128 contact deferred given Julien's comments on INN.

- Paul Schleck proposals: no further progress.
- TM has accepted an invitation to contribute a book chapter on Usenet to a proposed academic book in media/communication studies. Chapter to be co-authored with two academic colleagues.
- TM: A new journal article on the history of Usenet, from one of its designers: Steven M. Bellovin, "Netnews: The Origin Story," in IEEE Annals of the History of Computing, doi: 10.1109/MAHC.2024.3420896.
- TM: Update from DigiCAM25 co-organizers regarding scheduling and registration.
- TM: Apologies for next meeting. As RL and MM had been unable to join the Jitsi Meet room without him, TM will send around invite with new room name.
