                   soc.religion.shamanism will be removed

Following a period for comments begun with the Last Call for Comments
posted on 1 April 2009, the Big-8 Management Board has decided
by consensus to remove this group.

This group will be removed on 18 April 2009.

History:

soc.religion.shamanism was originally created in October 1993.  In
January 2007, the moderator position was reassigned to a robo-moderator
run by Tim Skirvin, in consultation with Doug Freyburger and Kevin
Cannon.

Rationale for removal:

No on-topic traffic in over a year.  The current moderators have
agreed that it is not worth salvaging and agreed to request that the
group be removed.
