From: Alexander Bartolich <alexander.bartolich@gmx.at> Subject: Moderator Vacancy Investigation: comp.emulators.announce Date: Sun, 1 Nov 2009 11:03:12 EST Message-ID: <hck7bh$c39$1@news.albasani.net> MODERATOR VACANCY INVESTIGATION (MVI) moderated group comp.emulators.announce This is a formal Moderator Vacancy Investigation (MVI), begun because moderated newsgroup comp.emulators.announce is not functioning, and may have been abandoned by its moderator(s). This investigation will attempt to verify the reasons for non-function, and may result in the removal of the group or the selection and instal- lation of a new moderator. In practice, the Big-8 Management Board considers the third alternative--changing the status of the group from moderated to unmoderated--as likely to cause more harm than good. NEWSGROUPS LINE: comp.emulators.announce Emulator news, FAQs, announcements. (Moderated) DISTRIBUTION: news.announce.newgroups news.groups.proposals comp.emulators.announce PROPONENT: Alexander Bartolich <alexander.bartolich@gmx.at> CHARTER OF COMP.EMULATORS.ANNOUNCE This is a moderated group with announcements about emulators, emulator ftp sites, new emulator images, and emulator FAQs. Emulator discussion seems to have a fairly high noise level, so this will be useful for important news and coordinating FAQs for newbies. RATIONALE: Probe posts to this group resulted in bounces. <comp-emulators-announce@moderators.isc.org>: host moderators.individual.net[130.133.4.7] said: 550-Callout verification failed: 550-550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist.
