CHARTER OF COMP.SYS.MAC.ANNOUNCE:

There does not appear to be a charter for this group.  It appears to
have been created on or before 23 May 1991 and it may well be that the
newsgroup line says it all.

RATIONALE:

I took over moderation of this group in September of 2007 as a result of
an MVI after the group had been dead for some time.  There have been no
submissions received (aside from email spam to the moderation address)
and there appears to be no need or desire by users for this group.

HISTORY OF THE GROUP:

comp.sys.mac.announce is a moderated newsgroup which appears to have
been created on or before 23 May 1991. 

PROCEDURE:

Those who wish to comment on this request to remove this newsgroup
should subscribe to news:news.groups.proposals and participate in the
relevant threads in that newsgroup.

To this end, the followup header of this RFD has been set to 
news.groups.proposals.

All discussion of active proposals should be posted to 
news.groups.proposals.

If desired by the readership of closely affected groups, the discussion
may be crossposted to those groups, but care must be taken to ensure
that all discussion appears in news.groups.proposals as well.
