This is a formal Moderator Vacancy Announcement (MVA), initiated because
the moderator of above-listed moderated newsgroup has resigned.

RATIONALE:

A probe post was answered by Kevin D. Quitt. He says there have been no
legitimate posts since 4-Mar-2008 and resigned.

CHARTER OF MISC.PREDICTIONS.REGISTRY

  The misc.predictions.registry newsgroup is chartered for
  the reporting of spontaneous premonitions experienced by
  individuals, predictions made more consciously by any of
  the various methods of divination, and predictions made
  by astrological methods. They come under the umbrella
  of the area usually known as the "paranormal".

  These should be of the kind that concern things that can
  be read about in the newspapers later in order to verify
  them; personal premonitions about family, although a
  fertile ground and equally valid cannot easily be verified
  and are therefore not suitable.

  Misc.predictions.registry is not the place to discuss
  theories about the paranormal or for advertisements.

  Discussion of matters relating to the paranormal in general
  should take place in alt.paranormal; those with a sceptical
  view of the validity of the premonition experience should
  voice their views on sci.skeptic.

  Commercial advertisements are not appropriate in this group.

  Binaries are not appropriate to this group.
